Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 8, 2026. This policy describes the current free MVP build of Best Fit Blitz, including its optional consent-gated use of Google Analytics 4. The site has no advertising, account, or payment system.

Data used by the game

The game generates scatterplots and scores inside your browser. Handle positions, current round, and scores are held in page memory only. Selecting New Seed adds the chosen seed to the current page URL so the synthetic dataset can be reproduced. The game does not place answers in localStorage, does not create an account, and does not send individual handle coordinates or scores to an application database.

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics 4 is optional. Before you make a choice, the site does not load a Google script and the browser records no analytics consent value. Selecting No thanks stores a local denial and continues without loading Google Analytics. Selecting Allow stores a local permission, loads the Google tag for measurement ID G-5SY3R1HMK8, and may send aggregate events such as page view, round start, line submission, completion, and replay. Advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain denied.

The local consent value is stored under a site-specific localStorage key so the site can remember the choice. The game also emits a local browser event for functional observation and testing; that local event does not transmit data. The analytics bridge sends an event only while the stored choice is Allow. Selecting withdrawal below changes the choice to deny, sets the Google disable flag, updates analytics consent to denied if the library was already loaded, and prevents later game events from being sent.

Hosting information

The planned host is Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, the infrastructure may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, request time, requested path, user agent, and security signals. That infrastructure processing is controlled by the hosting provider and may be retained according to its service and security policies. If you allow Google Analytics, Google may process online identifiers and usage events under its own service and privacy terms. Best Fit Blitz does not have a separate first-party answer database in this build.

The trust pages link to a public GitHub profile for contact. Following that link takes you to another service with its own privacy terms. Best Fit Blitz is a general educational practice game and does not knowingly request a child's name, email address, school, age, or other personal profile information. A parent, guardian, or teacher should supervise online use when appropriate.

Your choices and contact

You can change the optional analytics choice at any time. “Allow analytics” enables the consent-gated Google tag; “Withdraw / No thanks” records denial and stops later analytics events. You can also clear this site's local storage in your browser to remove the saved choice. Removing the seed from the URL, reloading, or closing the tab clears the current game state. Because the site does not maintain an account or answer database, it has no stored answer profile to export or delete.
