Educational practice only

Best Fit Blitz is an informal browser game intended to build visual intuition about a line of best fit. It is not a validated assessment, course grade, tutoring service, research instrument, professional certification, or substitute for instruction. The displayed score compares one line with an ordinary least-squares benchmark for a small synthetic dataset. It should not be used to make academic placement, employment, financial, medical, legal, or other consequential decisions.

Permitted use

You may play the public game, link to its pages, and use it as a discussion prompt in a classroom or personal learning setting. You may not interfere with availability, bypass security controls, probe the service in a way that harms other users, impersonate an operator, submit unlawful material through an external contact route, or represent the practice score as an accredited result. Automated requests must respect published crawl rules and reasonable service limits.

Original materials and third parties

The project's original interface, copy, synthetic datasets, and implementation remain subject to applicable rights. Mathematical definitions and facts are not claimed as exclusive property. Third-party open-source runtime packages keep their own licenses, which are identified in the project's notice file. External links, including the public GitHub contact route and the planned hosting provider, are governed by their own terms.

Availability and warranty

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without a promise that every result is complete, error-free, continuously available, or suitable for a particular purpose. Seeds and scoring behavior may change as defects are corrected. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or reliance damages arising from use of the game.

These terms may be updated when features, hosting, measurement, or legal requirements change. A new effective date will be shown on this page. Questions or defect reports can be submitted through the public route listed on the Contact page.
